INTRO EPISODE: HEY, NICE TO MEET YA!

THE PODCAST IS FINALLY HERE!

It’s the intro episode of the Positively You Podcast. I am so excited. This show is finally a real thing. I have been a huge lover of podcasts FOREVER. I have had the idea of doing one of my own in my head for way too long and it’s so fun to finally be on the other side and to be putting this out into the world.

So HELLO! And thank you for hanging out with me today.

The whole idea behind this podcast is to help you live happier, healthier and show up every day as the best version of you. Whether you’re wanting to feel better in your mom life, your marriage, health, fitness, mindset…..whatever it is, this is the place for you to come to get inspiration, encouragement and actionable tips so that you feel ready to go and make those positive changes. Before I go any further I wanna get introductions outta the way so you know just who in the heck you’re hanging out with each week. 

I’m Jessie. And I’m obsessed with all things related to mindset, self improvement, and striving to be your best self. I have been married to my best friend Conor for almost 12 years and for most of those years we’ve been stuck in the same “where should we go for dinner?” conversation ever since. Anyone else? 

If I absolutely have to pick 9 times out of 10 it’s gonna be Mexican.  Besides the dinner debacle we’ve had a ton of fun together and we even made three humans- so that’s pretty cool, and kind of a weird way to say I have three kids, But there ya have it. 

I’m obsessed with making my bed everyday and I think you should be too, but we’ll dive waaaay more into that later. Don’t you worry. Besides me telling you to make your bed everyday I’m also gonna tell you to stop being your own worst critic! Girl, you are awesome. Let me repeat that: YOU ARE AWESOME! And if there’s a mean voice inside your head telling you otherwise it’s time to kick that to the curb!  My goal is to help you break free of a mindset that sucks and isn’t serving you. Look, I know that momlife and heck just life can be crazy hard, but a Debbie Downer attitude is only going to make things harder. Shifting your mindset isn’t about burying your head in the sand and pretending that everything is rainbows and unicorns. It’s facing the hard head on and finding a way to CREATE your own rainbows and unicorns. 

I believe that life should be fun and you should be excited to be here living it.  I absolutely hate the idea of  waiting until you have “all the things” or get past certain stages to start enjoying life. 


Spoiler* you’ll never actually get there and will always be looking for whatever comes next. Instead let’s embrace where we’re at and freaking start loving life right NOW while still dreaming and working to make it even bigger and better. 

So, what exactly can you look forward to with this show? You can expect episodes to drop every Tuesday! Some episodes, I’ll be solo, just popping into your earbuds and bringing you some quick inspiration to help you feel lighter, or empowered, or just ready to tackle the day. 

Other times I’ll be chatting with a guest and sharing stories and takeaways from those experts to get you pumped up,  super motivated and feeling ALL those positive vibes. Girl, it’s gonna be awesome. 

So that’s it for now. Whew first episode out and into the world. They always say the first one is the hardest right? Just like ripping off a bandaid. But this was way more fun than ripping off a bandaid and I totally loved having a new way to connect with you! Have a great week!
