Episode 55: Be Who You Want to be Today

What does it mean to be Positively You? How are you trying to become that happiest, healthiest version of yourself?

Today we are diving into that process and a simple mindset shift you can make to speed that process up. Ya ready? Let’s go:

First of all you gotta figure out what goals you are working toward and what kind of emotions you want to be feeling. Once you’ve got a goal identified, its time to get to work. But before you do that, let’s take a look at how you are thinking about and speaking about your goal.

Are you saying things like: “I am working toward______ .” or “I am trying to_________.” 

Words like working on or trying to tell your brain that it’s something you currently aren’t doing. Which sets your brain on the course of fighting against the current status. It means resistance, fight, stress, pressure.

A quick way to combat that pressure and stress is to simply change your words. Instead of “I’m trying to eat healthy.” You just say, “ I eat healthy.”

It becomes a statement. A fact. And your brain is gonna love that and it’s gonna be waaaay easier to make healthy choices from a more empowered mindset.

Get rid of the trying….and just start embodying that version of you. Just BE that person today. 

Easier said than done. Yep. But that little shift in your words and in your mind will do absolute wonders.
